This morning I was happily ahead of my work, preparing for the week ahead and getting through my list of things to do. All was jolly and bright!
Until I went into my website dashboard provided by Wix and all HELL broke loose!
I'm not going to go into the technicalities of where the Wix website builder completely failed but ultimately I LOST all of my services and bookings!
Poof! All gone!
All because Wix suggested I try something to make my experience more user friendly.
Well this move was VERY unfriendly.
Ultimately it meant that over 80 services and bookings were deleted. Gone! No go back to previously saved point...no recycle bin to explore and revive lost items...GONE!
How in this day and age can an IT company allow something like this to happen...especially when it was something suggested and then when I attempt to contact them my telephone call was cut off every single time.
Was I called back? NO!
Why? Because this happened during transfer to another person...so no one knew I'd been cut off!
So I had to raise another ticket requesting a call.
Wix the complained to me about multiple ticket raising...yet no one was EVER going to call me back.
Then they accused ME of pointing the finger at them! I soon stopped them and turned on my call recording and advised them of this...they changed their tune!
Still no matter how much I cried and pled down the phone at them they stood firm that there was nothing they could do.
Even raising a further complaint meant I was brushed off with no recompense and even me wanting to cancel my service would result in no refund
I was literally hung out to dry by Wix and I pay them HUNDREDS of pounds a year, if not going into the thousands!
They closed my chat because they wouldn't help anymore.
They escalated my complaint, and soon replied with...and I quote:
Thank you for contacting Wix Customer Care.
We already review this situation but at this time Wix is not able to give any kinds of compensation for this situation.
I wish you the best in your day and company.
Well isn't that sweet wishing me the best in my day and company.
They deleted 80 services, hundreds of bookings and they wish me the best!
I was left with nothing but a swollen face from all the tears of months and months of work disappearing in an instant.
However, I'd accepted, that as usual I was just some bug to be squashed by another ever growing corporation that doesn't care unless I don't pay a bill!
So, being the sort of person I am I began rebuilding my entire catalogue of services.
As I'm doing this I'm adding what bookings I can piece together from old emails.
As I go through my Wix Calendar to ensure the bookings had taken...suddenly....209 bookings appeared in my calendar!
But how can this be?
There are no services to put them there.
Something happened at the back end of Wix, they've done something they will not admit to.
I'm thrilled that 209 bookings have reappeared...but where from?
I certainly didn't do it!
Anyway, basically...I have to continue to rebuild my services. So far I've rebuilt 16 of the 80 I ha
This is going to take a VERY long time! I have to rebuild months of work...yet Wix send their best.
Well if I could I know what I'd be sending them!
This is fair warning to anyone reading this rant...Avoid Wix, they're normally amazing...but something has happened that they deny, they wont admit it or pay for it.
I stand by my mistakes...but this is a farce and not a company to be receiving your business. Learn from my experience and avoid Wix like the plague...you'll be better off with an old diary and a pencil!
